I'm fine with it if he is replacing Joey 'one-footed' O'Brien but not as a regular right back now. Best years behind him and no doubt wages aren't that low either.
We need a younger player like Jenkinson.

aging, over-rated player looking for one last big pay day. Not at West Ham

That same story in the Mirror says Steve McLaren has been added to our managerial candidates list. Ffs.

It'll be amazing to have England international and former player Johnson back and it'll save us having to spend money on Jenkinson.

He is a class player, we all know he is a class player.

Why do people believe the lazy myth that he can't defend?

Indeed and I'd hope he'd be the one former Liverpool player we sign that actually works out for us.

I'd have him - and Micah Richards as well...

What dicksie said.

One of them and loan Jenk0 again would be SMART.

Re: Glen Johnson
Johnson at right mid with Jenkinson behind him would cause problems for any opposition who face us. Two quality players who can both defend & attack.

Re: Glen Johnson
He's a very good player, there's no doubt about that imo. The worry is the wages and getting stuck with an older player on a long contract, that's all. A manageable wage on a two-year contract - that would be a great result for us.

Why do we keep signing OAPs?

also I don't want him back after the way he left for Chelsea

FUCK OFF GLEN

Re: Glen Johnson
I don't remember any controversy about the way he left for Chelsea.

As for this 'BFS signings' nonsense, there's always a benefit to getting service out of an experienced player as long as they're cheap enough and you don't overdo the amount of them. Although BFS might claim he invented the practice, we've had plenty of wonderful players join in the eve of their careers - Di Canio for a start.
